How to Stop an Eyebrow Piercing From Getting Infected
When your eyebrow is pierced, the skin is punctured. Your immune system views this in the same way it would a cut or incision and begins working to heal the wound. When a piercing is kept clean in the same way you would care for a wound, infection can be avoided. Simple and consistent measures help you avoid infection during the time it takes for your eyebrow piercing to heal properly.
Instructions

1
Wash your hands before touching an open wound. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap to prevent the transfer of germs from your hands to your piercing. Dry your hands on a clean cloth.
-
2
Wet a clean cloth and apply a few drops of antibacterial soap to the cloth. Gently wash around the eyebrow piercing. Rinse your piercing with a damp cloth and pat dry.
-
-
3
Squirt saline solution on your eyebrow piercing. Saline solution provides added germ-removing benefits.
-
4
Swab around your piercing to gently remove any crusty matter. If the dried substance won't come off with washing or gentle wiping, allow it to dry so it can fall off by itself.

Tips & Warnings
Always make sure the person doing the piercing is a licensed professional, working in a clean environment with sterile equipment.
Eyebrow piercings typically take six to eight weeks to heal.
Select gold with more than 18 karats or implant-grade stainless steel for your jewelry.
Clean your piercing twice each day.
Since piercing guns cannot be sterilized, they should never be used for body piercings. If the person doing the piercing plans to use a piercing gun, find someone else to do the piercing.
