Instructions

    • 1

Cut two racks of baby rack ribs into pieces that will easily fit in your pressure cooker.

    • 2

Season the baby back ribs with the seasoning of your choice, or make your own seasoning. Combine 1 tsp. chili powder, 1 tsp. onion powder, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. white or black pepper, 1/2 tsp. cayenne, 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tsp. salt. Mix well, then rub the mixture onto the baby back ribs.

    • 3

Fill the bottom of your pressure cooker about a quarter full of liquid, or as directed in your pressure cooker's manual. Use water or a liquid such as apple juice or broth.

    • 4

Place the rack in the bottom of your pressure cooker, then place the seasoned baby back ribs on the rack. The ribs shouldn't be above the liquid.

    • 5

Place the lid on your pressure cooker. Place the cooker on a burner and turn the heat to high. Bring the pressure to 15 lbs. Lower the heat, maintaining 15 lbs. of constant pressure. Cook the ribs for 20 minutes. If the ribs are large add an additional 5 to 10 minutes.

    • 6

Remove the pressure cooker from the heat, then allow the pressure to drop naturally. When the pressure has dropped completely to zero, allow about two more minutes, then remove the cover.

    • 7

Remove the baby back ribs from the pressure cooker. Place the ribs on a serving platter and serve hot. Coat the baby back ribs with barbecue sauce, if desired.

Tips & Warnings

  • Marinate the baby back ribs in your favorite marinade before cooking, if desired. Place the ribs and the marinade in your refrigerator and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
