How to Make a Cardbord House
A Playhouse offers children hours of playing fun. Although there are many styles and brands available from toy manufacturers, a fun and inexpensive playhouse can easily be crafted from cardboard. A home-built playhouse allows children to personalize their space by decorating the playhouse walls.
Things You'll Need
- Washing machine box
- 6 cardboard sheets of equal size
- Box cutter
- Duct tape
- Tape measure

Measure across the front of the box to find the center. Mark the center and draw the door in the center of the box. Draw windows on either side of the door.

Fold the top flaps up until they meet and form a V. Use duct tape and tape across the top of the V to form the roof of the house.

Use the box knife to cut out the door and windows.
Cardboard Sheets

Large sheets of cardboard taped together make an excellent playhouse. Lay four of the cardboard sheets side by side and duct tape them. Leave a little space between the edges of the cardboard sheets to allow space for bending. Stand the taped row of cardboard sheets up and bend them to form a square. Tape the last open corner together.

Place the two remaining sheets of cardboard together to form a V shape. Tape along the joint of the V. Place the V on top of the cardboard square and tape it securely in place.
