How to Save Ringtones to a Samsung Alias 2

Verizon's Alias 2 is the newest version of Samsung's Alias. Like most Verizon cell phones, the Alias 2 allows you to download and save ringtones to your device. Users have the ability to download directly from the wireless provider's media store or by receiving the ringtone in an email-type multimedia message. Once downloaded, the ringtone should always be saved.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the down arrow on the navigation key when downloading ringtones from your provider. This will open a new menu. Highlight "Get New Ringtones" and press "OK."

    • 2

Browse ringtones. Highlight your chosen ringtone and press "OK." You may need to agree to the purchases terms before the download will begin. The Alias 2 will automatically download the ringtone and autosave it to your device.

    • 3

Open your ringtone. When using the yourwirelessnumber@vzwpix.com format, the ringtone will arrive like a standard text message with a notification.

    • 4

Download the ringtone. The Alias 2 has an autosave feature which automatically plays and saves the ringtone when you open the message. If this does not occur, continue to Step 5.

    • 5

Save the ringtone manually. If the autosave feature does not activate, a message indicating a file is attached will pop up when you open the message. Highlight "Save as Ringtone" and press "OK."

Tips & Warnings

  • Saving your ringtones to a compatible memory card will save memory space on your Alias 2.

  • Accessing the Internet, receiving multimedia messages and email messages to add ringtones to the Alias 2 uses large amounts of data which may result in excessive charges on your monthly bill.
