How to Repot a Sedum Burrito
Sedum burrito (Sedum morganianum), also known as burro tail, is a succulent plant native to Mexico. With its long, trailing stems, it makes an attractive and unusual houseplant, especially spilling over the side of a hanging basket. Although sedum burrito likes being pot-bound, there will come a day when it needs to be repotted. Fortunately, it isn't difficult to do. Does this Spark an idea?

Lay newspapers on a work surface.

Fill the new planting pot one-fourth of the way full with the planting mix.

Place the potted sedum burrito on its side on top of the newspapers and slide it from the pot. If it is stuck in the pot and the pot is plastic, press on the sides of the pot to loosen the connection. If the pot is ceramic or terracotta, rap sharply on the sides and bottom until the roots loosen their hold.

Lower the roots of the sedum burrito into the new pot and add or remove soil so that it will be growing at the same depth as in the old pot and fill the pot with soil, to within 1/2 inch of the rim. Pack the soil around the base of the plant.

Water the sedum until the water runs out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot. Allow it to drain completely before placing back in its permanent location.
