Homemade Alien Abduction Costumes
Homemade alien abduction costumes incorporate two costumes onto one wearer. The ensemble, once assembled, should leave onlookers guessing as to whether there is one person or two people inside the outfit. An alien abduction costume depicts the wearer being abducted by a gruesome or funny alien figure. To convey this, the alien's head will be above and behind the head of the person wearing the costume. The alien's arms will wrap around the abducted person's waist.

Things You'll Need
- Footed one-piece pajamas
- Scissors
- Batting
- Pillow
- Green pillowcase
- Backpack
- Black fabric marker
- Hooded black cloak with sleeves
- Fabric glue
- Needle
- Black thread
- Gloves
- Black pants
Instructions

Cut a horizontal slit in the back of the pajamas with scissors. Make the cut at the level of the wearer's shoulder blades.

Stuff the legs and feet of the pajamas with batting until they are full and plump.

Slip a green pillowcase over a tall pillow. Stuff the pillow into a backpack so the top of the pillow sticks out.

Zip the backpack around the pillow so it holds the pillow in place and upright.

Draw an alien face on the side of the pillowcase that faces the backpack straps. Use a black fabric marker to draw two large, tilted almond-shaped eyes, two slits for a nose and a small, down-turned mouth.

Drape a black hooded costume cloak over the top of the pillow and over the backpack.

Sew or glue the top of the hood in place over the top end of the pillow. Be sure to cover up the pointed corners of the pillowcase.

Sew or glue the shoulders of the cloak to the upper corners of the backpack. Drape the fabric as you go to simulate the alien's shoulders.

Sew or glue the arms of the robe around the midsection of the pajamas.

Glue or sew or gloves to the inside of the ends of the sleeves as well as to the front of the pajamas. The alien should appear to be wrapping his arms around the wearer.

Dress the costume wearer in black pants or leggings to match the robe. The costume wearer's legs will be the legs of the alien abductor.

Place the backpack on the costume wearer's back. Slip his head and arms through the slit in the back of the pajamas. Pull the pajamas down so he is wearing the top portion of the pajamas and the stuffed pajama legs and feet hang loose.
