How to Make a Yellow Duck Costume
Dressing up as a duck doesn't have to occur just at Halloween -- school plays or parties also sometimes call for duck costumes. Costumes do not have to be elaborate; simple yellow clothing often conveys the duck persona, and an orange beak finishes it off. You can make a costume out of what you have at home, or purchase just a few items. Either way, duck costumes are inexpensive and quick to make.
Things You'll Need

1
Put on the yellow tights and leotard. This is the body of the duck.
-
2
Cut off a small section of the feather boa. It should be 6 to 8 inches long. Hot-glue it to the back of the beanie.
-
-
3
Pull back all your hair and place it under the beanie on your head. Pull the beanie down over your ears to cover as much of your head as possible.
-
4
Hold one end of the feather boa in one hand, drape it across your shoulders, and hold the other end in the opposite hand to create wings and feathers. To help it not fall off, you can hot-glue it to the shoulder straps of the leotard.
-
5
Cut two webbed feet shapes out of the orange felt. Make sure they are large enough to go over your feet or shoes. Cut two 4-inch pieces of elastic and hot-glue them to the felt where it hits around the ankle. Slip them over your feet or shoes.
