      Remove the racks and any pans from the GE self cleaning oven. Brush any loose debris out of the oven.

      Wet a cloth with ½ tsp. dish soap and warm water to make suds. Wipe out the bottom of the oven with the cloth to clean up any stuck-on spills.

      Shut the GE self cleaning oven's door and turn the latch to lock the oven.

      Turn the oven cycle to "Self Clean." A light will come on to let you know the oven is heating up.

      Open the GE self cleaning oven's door when the light goes off. Brush out any ash from the bottom of the oven.
