How to Learn Thailand Massage
Thai massage is a dynamic form of bodywork where the massage therapist uses his whole body to treat the client. It's a wonderful modality with multiple benefits. Among other things, it increases circulation, lessens stress and increases muscle tone. Thai massage might be a little daunting for anyone who wants to learn it, but it doesn't have to be. Finding a certified Thai massage therapist, classes that teach the modality, or finding a good book on the subject is easier than you think.

Go to you local bookstore or library. Books are a great way to learn a new subject without the intimidation of an in-person expert. A great book to pick up is The Encyclopedia of Thai Massage by C. Pierce Salguero.

Look up sites on the internet, preferably sites like YouTube which has video demonstrations on Thai massage. These videos will enable you you to see these moves in action beyond the frozen snapshots of a book.

Look for a class that teaches Thai massage. Holistic learning centers like The New York Open Center teach such classes.

Look for a certified Thai massage therapist. If you are taking a class in the modality, there should be directories available with listings. You could even ask your instructor.

Tips & Warnings
After receiving your massage, practice what you've learned on friends and/or loved ones. This is also the time for you to find an accredited massage therapy school if you'd like to go beyond massage as a hobby.
Many states require you to be certified in massage before you receive financial compensation for giving a massage.
