How to Upgrade Your Disneyland Passport
Millions of people from all over the world come to Disneyland to enjoy the legacy of Walt Disney. For some, it is so enjoyable that they are willing to pay for an annual passport so that they can enjoy Disneyland all year long. But some less expensive passports have "blackout" days and don't allow the passport holder to use the annual pass on certain holidays, busy summer days and some weekends. If you would like to upgrade your Disneyland passport to one with fewer blackout days, it is possible to do so in person at Disneyland Resort.

1
Go to Disneyland Resort. All passport upgrades must be done in person. Park your car in the parking garage. If you don't have a parking pass on your passport and plan to upgrade, take the parking receipt given to you when you pay for parking at the structure entrance. You will pay the difference later.
-
2
Go to any of the ticket booths at the front entrance or the annual passport processing center inside Disneyland Park. Tell the representative you would like to upgrade your annual passport. Present your current passport and choose the level you would like to upgrade to. If you are purchasing parking for your new passport, present your parking receipt. (If you already have parking on your passport, it will be valid on the upgrade as well.) If you purchased your upgrade at the ticket booth, go to Step 3. If you went to the processing center inside the park, go to Step 4.

3
Take your upgrade ticket from the customer service representative and go inside Disneyland Park to the annual passport processing center. The representative there should give you your old passport and a ticket for the upgrade. If you purchased parking, you will be given a ticket for parking as well.
-
4
Wait in line at the annual passport processing center. When it is your turn, give the customer service representative your old passport, the ticket upgrade and the ticket for parking, if you purchased it. The representative will enter your information and ask you to step backward to have your photo taken against the backdrop behind you.
-
5
Wait for your new passport. The process can take up to 15 minutes; someone will call your name or bring it out to you when it's ready.

Tips & Warnings
All upgraded annual passports maintain the same expiration date. The date does not change to the date of the upgrade.
Annual passports can be upgraded as long as they're valid, and only the difference in price will need to be paid. Annual passports are good for one year from the date of purchase. The expiration date is printed on the passport.
If you're unsure about which passport you would like to upgrade to, ask the representative about the benefits of each. In addition to fewer or no blackout days, some passports come with discounts inside and outside the park.
Disneyland annual passport photos are done in digital black and white and are not always clear. Avoid wearing sunglasses, hats or other distracting items in your photo to ensure that your face comes out clear. Photos that look little like you may result in a rejection at the front gate the next time you use your passport.
