How to Hook Up a Magnavox DVD/VCR Combo to Digital Cable
A DVD/VCR combo box from Magnovox eliminates the need for separate set-top boxes, combining both a VCR and DVD player into one unit. Some televisions don't have many input jacks, making it difficult to connect multiple set-top boxes to the TV. If you are attempting to connect your digital cable box and the DVD/VCR combo box, you may have to double up the audio/video (A/V) connections. Doing so is very simple.

1
Connect a video component cable from the video output of the cable box to the video input of the DVD/VCR box. The video input and output jacks are color-coded as yellow, so just match the colors.
-
2
Connect audio component cables from the audio outputs of the cable box to the audio inputs of the DVD/VCR box. The audio component cables are color-coded red and white, for right and left stereo audio, respectively.

3
Connect video and audio cables from the DVD/VCR box's video and audio outputs into the television's video and audio input jacks. Again, match the colors: Video is yellow, and audio is red (right) and white (left).
-
4
Plug a coaxial cable from the cable outlet in your wall to the coaxial input jack on the back of the digital cable box.
-
5
Connect all power cables and plug them into electrical outlets. Power on the devices and tune your television to the proper source to view your digital cable and/or Maganovox DVD/VCR box.
