How to Remove the Storage Drawer From a Pedestal Whirlpool Duet

Whirlpool Duet washers and dryers are front-loading residential appliances. This particular model has an optional pedestal attachment, available in either a 10-inch or 15-inch size. When used, the washer or dryer, which each requires its own pedestal, and are lifted on top of the pedestal to be higher off of the ground. The 15-inch pedestal has a storage drawer that pulls out and pushes back into the pedestal, allowing you to keep items such as laundry detergent and dryer sheets out of sight.       Open the pedestal drawer to the fully open position. Remove any contents in the drawer.

      Remove the 1/4-inch hex nut located on the top of each drawer arm.

    • 3

      Pull the drawer straight out, then push the arms back into the body of the pedestal.
