How Can I Download Stock Data for a Specific Time?
Not long ago, finding historical information on stock prices meant scrolling through microfilms of old newspapers, finding the daily stock pages and writing down the information you needed. The task took hours or days to complete. Nowadays, you can find the same information in minutes, thanks to online historical stock information. You can also download the information into your own spreadsheet for future use and analysis.

Visit Yahoo Finance or Google Finance and enter the symbol of the stock in the "Get Quotes" search box.

Click "Historical Prices" on the stock summary page that displays.

Select the "Start Date" and "End Date" for the period you want. Click the button for "Daily" prices or for "Weekly" or "Monthly" average prices.

Click "Get Prices" to generate a list of historical prices for the stock.

Click "Download to Spreadsheet" to save the data to your computer.
