1
Select candy that is hard and colorful. Consider purchasing bags of assorted hard candies. This option offers greater variety at a lesser expense.

2
Purchase a plain ceramic vase from a craft store. Wash the vase with mild soap and warm water. Carefully dry the vase with a soft cloth. Let the vase continue to dry naturally. It must be completely dry before adding candy decorations.

Pour the craft glue and warm water into a mixing bowl. Stir gently with a soft-bristled brush until the glue has the consistency of paint. Brush generous amounts of glue on one section of the vase at a time. Do not glue the bottom of the vase. Put one hand inside the vase so you can turn the vase and see around it more easily. Make sure that each vase section is coated evenly with the glue mixture.

Attach candy pieces, in any pattern you choose, to each vase section. If the glue dries in a section before you affix the candy, add another coat of glue before placing the candy pieces on the area. When all sections are done, fill in odd spaces with broken candy pieces. Make sure the entire vase is covered with the candy pieces.

Let the vase dry naturally for three to four hours. When it is dry, spray the entire vase with a glossy fixative for an attractive finish. Again, let the vase dry naturally for the amount of time directed on the fixative spray can.
