1
Brainstorm. List all of the important information you want to communicate to your guests on your invitation, including: the date of the party, the time of the party, and whether guests should bring their own video games. Also write down specific video games or equipment that you will be using at the party or that guests should bring along to share with others at the party.
-
2
Draft one line, and then build a second line that builds on the first and rhymes with it. For example, "Join us for a video game party to celebrate Ben's big day!" could be your first line.

3
Come up with a sentence that rhymes with the first sentence. For example, "The celebration begins at 3 p.m. on Saturday the 12th of May."

Continue building on the rhyme, including additional information. An example of additional lines could be the following: "We'll be playing video games into the night. There will be munchies and cake and a competition that is out of sight. We'll have out our XBox and Nintendo 64. So bring along compatible video games galore! Star Wars and Fable and NBA Jam...Rock Band and Game Room and Sega Soccer Slam.
