Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Adult Halloween Costumes
  • Halloween Invitations
  • Halloween Candles
  • Halloween Decorations
  • Halloween Light Sets
  • Crayons
  • Jack-o'-lanterns
  • Halloween Baking Supplies
  • Halloween Stickers
  • Infant Costumes
  • Kids' Costumes
  • Crayons
  1. Step 1

Dress as a mom and tot of a different animal species: big bee and little bee, big cow and calf, etc.

  2. Step 2

Make fun finger foods. Paint frosted pumpkins atop sugar cookies, bake cat-shaped mini cakes and serve pumpkin cupcakes.

  3. Step 3

Tape a large piece of butcher paper along one whole wall. Provide crayons and ask kids to draw their favorite Halloween images.

  4. Step 4

Set up a trick-or-treat game in your home. Ask one adult to cover each room. The tots can go room to room and collect special Halloween candy and treats.

  5. Step 5

Make a big bowl of orange punch with black plastic spiders floating on the top. Be sure that an adult serves the punch, and that the spiders stay in the bowl.

  6. Step 6

Conduct a costume contest. Ask kids to model their costumes and tell stories about their characters. Award each child a different "first prize."

Tips & Warnings
  • Provide small gift bags filled with toys, stickers and art supplies for children to take as they leave.
  • Keep the event short and sweet. Tots have short attention spans and often become uncomfortable in hot costumes.
