How to Make Raindrops on Roses

Raindrops are a naturally appearing addition for roses.

Roses are one of the most common flowers used in floral arrangements. Roses are known for their elaborate petal collections and their bright colors. Adding raindrops to roses is a fantastic way to incorporate another element from nature into your floral arrangement. Adding raindrops to roses is a relatively simple project that any crafter can complete in a few easy steps.

Things You'll Need

• Hot glue gun
• Hot glue sticks
• Roses
• Tooth pick
• Sharp scissors

Instructions

1. Plug in the hot glue gun and load a hot glue stick in the back end of the gun. Allow the hot glue gun to heat up for two to three minutes.

2. Hold the rose in your hand. Gently spread apart the rose petals and choose where you want to apply a raindrop.

3. Squeeze the trigger on the hot glue gun slowly to dispense hot glue drops. Once the ball of glue is on the rose, release the trigger and pull away rapidly.

4. Push down the end of the glue droplet with a tooth pick so the drop appears to run down the rose petal. Cut away excess glue with sharp scissors.

5. Repeat this process until all raindrops are on the rose.
