iTunes Updater Problems: No Permission

Accidentally deleted or moved folders on your Windows-based PC causes permission errors in iTunes, preventing the application from updating, which causes conflicts with Apple devices that require the latest software version. The problem is correctable by completely uninstalling iTunes and all related programs from your computer followed by reinstalling them. Avoid moving folders from program folders to prevent future permission issues, as programs require the exact folder location to run properly.

Instructions

1. Click "Start" and "Control Panel" on your Windows PC's desktop, and click "Programs." Click "Uninstall a program" and click "iTunes."

2. Click "Uninstall" and "Yes" to remove iTunes. Repeat the removal process for Bonjour, QuickTime, Apple Mobile Device Support and Apple Application Support.

3. Click "Start" and "Shutdown." Power down your PC and power it back on.

4. Re-install the latest iTunes software (see Resources).
