How to Kill Mildew on Herbs
Downy or powdery mildew in your herb garden destroys your plants and quickly spreads throughout the garden if left untreated. When downy mildew accumulates on the plant's underside or powdery mildew on the top of the plants, it damages the overall health of the plant. Fungicides are not selective; they are often extremely potent and will weaken your herbs in the process of destroying the mildew. Downy Mildew

Scoop 2 tbsp. of baking soda into an empty spray bottle, and fill the bottle with one quart of water.

Fasten the top on the spray bottle and mix the bottle's contents.

Hold the spray bottle 6 to 10 inches from the herbs and spray directly onto the diseased area of the plants.

Spray the herbs every other day until the mildew disappears.
Powdery Mildew

Pour 2 cups of milk into an empty spray bottle and pour in 2 cups of water.

Shake the solution and spray it directly onto the mildewed area of the herbs.

Repeat the spraying process every other day for one week to destroy the mildew.
