Turn on your Sony Ericsson W580i and wait for the main menu screen to appear. Verify that there is a memory card in the slot at the bottom of the unit. If there isn't insert one, gold connector teeth first, into the slot.

Press the "Menu" key at the top of the keypad and select "File Manager" from the list of options that appear in the menu.

Select "All Files" from the list of options in the file manager menu and press "OK" to confirm. The phone will then automatically backup all available media files on the W580i to the card.
