How to Kill Ghost Freak in "Ben 10: Protector of Earth"

"Ben 10: Protector of Earth" is a spin-off Nintendo DS game from the popular children franchise "Ben 10," which is about a boy who gains mysterious alien powers allowing him to turn into 10 different alien forms. Defeating the boss Ghostfreak, a shadowed monster who lives in pitch-black dark, can be daunting without strategy. Not only is he powerful, but after he receives damage, he retreats, leaving you to fight off hordes of his evil minions, plucking away at your health bar.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter Ghostfreak's lair and search for the window. Once located, either change forms to Wildvine and swing on the curtains or use a powerful form such as Fourarms and hit the window to break it. This will reveal a blasting beam of bright light that will stun Ghostfreak.

    • 2

Pummel Ghostfreak with any attacks you feel comfortable with while he is stunned by the light. He then will retreat into darkness, allowing you to descend deeper into his lair.

    • 3

Catch up to Ghostfreak and change forms to Wildvine if you are comfortable with long-range attacks, Heatblast for long range or XLR8 to speed around quickly and dodge attacks while inflicting damage. After enough punishment, Ghostfreak will flee once again, sending the first horde of minions.

    • 4

Morph into a strong fighting form or a skilled projectile form like Heatblast and defeat the minions. When the minion numbers start to dwindle, Ghostfreak begins to return. Try to kill all the minions before Ghostfreak comes back.

    • 5

Change back into a long-range or speed-based form when Ghostfreak returns.

    • 6

Continue dealing damage, avoiding attacks and fighting hordes of minions until you destroy Ghostfreak.

Tips & Warnings

  • Evasion is more important than massive damage in this fight, as getting knocked down allows enemies to damage you more.
