How to Make a Goblet Out of Paper
The art of paper folding is known as origami. A goblet is a type of cup in popular use from the Medieval times until the Victorian Age. Making a paper goblet is not difficult.

1
Fold one square piece of paper in half to make an even triangle.
-
2
Fold the top side down so that the edges meet to make an even line. Pull both sides of the paper down when you do this. Crease the edge and return the paper back to the beginning triangle position.
-
-
3
Fold the right bottom edge of the triangle up so that it meets the other side about halfway between the top corner and bottom corner on the left side. Crease the paper and repeat this step on the left side of the triangle.
-
4
Fold the top parts of the triangle down to each side like you are opening up a book. Fold the top triangle points over the sides and open the cup.
-
5
Lay the next piece of square paper on a flat surface in a diamond position. Place a straight pipe cleaner horizontally at the bottom and roll up the entire piece of paper. Tape it closed and flatten the paper as much as possible. Leave the pipe cleaner inside.
-
6
Cut the creases of one end of the stem between ¼ to ½ inch down the crease. On the other end, cut four sections the same length in each direction. Spread out the four sections and trim the pipe cleaner to fit. Place tape horizontally and vertically on the underside of the four edges that are now spread out. This will help to stabilize the goblet and keep the pipe cleaner inside.
-
7
Slide the bottom of the goblet cup into the top of the stem (the side with only two slits for the cup). Secure the goblet on the stem using two pieces of tape. Open up the goblet cup.

Tips & Warnings
You can further stabilize the goblet by taping or gluing a firmer material such as cardboard in a circle to the bottom of the goblet base.
Exercise caution when using sharp objects such as scissors.
