Heart rate is an important key in gauging the effectiveness of your workout. Many exercise routines require you to keep your heart rate within certain zones to achieve goals. The Timex heart rate monitor is a watch that also tracks, stores and analyzes your heart rate. If you notice erratic heart rate readings or sensor miscommunication simple troubleshooting will resolve the issue.
Things You'll Need
- CR2032 3V lithium battery
Insert the end of a coin into the battery port lid. Turn the coin counter-clockwise to open the lid.
Remove the existing battery.
Insert a replacement CR2032 3V lithium battery, with the writing on the battery facing toward you.
Replace the battery port lid.
Watch and Sensor Not Communicating
Shorten the distance between the sensor and the watch. They must be within three feet of each other to communicate properly.
Move away from any any sources of sources of electrical interference such as radio, microwave, or television. Electrical and radio waves can impede the electrical signal needed to send the heart rate information.
Rinse the heart rate sensor pads with cool water.
