Ribbon Tying Instructions
There is one simple thing that you can do to take a regular present and turn it into a masterpiece: a ribbon. A perfectly wrapped gift just isn't complete until a ribbon has been tied around the box. Adding this extra decorative touch is easy and quick. For simple gifts, use twine or curling ribbon; for fancy gifts, consider using satin or decorative wire ribbon. Keep in mind that wire ribbon will allow you to create perfect --- or almost perfect --- bows every time.

1
Place the wrapped present in front of you on a flat, clean surface.
-
2
Place the middle of the ribbon on the middle of the top of the present.
-
-
3
Wrap the tails of the ribbon down either side of the box, and then fold them under the box.
-
4
Twist the tails around one another under the box, so that the tails are now facing the two sides of the box without the ribbon.
-
5
Fold the tails up the two other sides of the box.
-
6
Tie the ribbon into a knot in the middle of the top of the box.
-
7
Tie the ribbon into a bow. Adjust the tails and loops of the bow so that they are how you'd like them to be.
-
8
Cut the excess length off of the tails.
