How to Upload a Picture From a Scanner
Scanners allow you to make a copy of an object, such as a photo or piece of paper, that you can print out; most scanners also create a digital representation of the copy on your computer screen. You can upload this digital version to your computer and save it there using controls in the software for your scanner.

Install the CD that came with your scanner. This will include drivers that allow your computer to recognize the scanner, but it should also have a program specific to your scanner that lets you handle uploading photos.

Click "Start" in Windows and open the scanner software.

Insert your picture into the scanner's bed and close the lid. Press the "Scan" (or similar button) on your scanner; many scanners will let you choose between a color or black and white scan quality. The picture should show up on your screen.

Click the "Save" or "Copy to" button in your Scanner program and select a folder where you'd like to save the picture; click "OK" to upload the picture to your computer's memory.
