How to Get Infinite Rare Candies on "Pokemon Pearl"

You can get all the rare candy you want by using the skill "PickUp."

The "Pokemon" series is all about capturing and raising monsters known as Pokemon. Typically, in order to raise their levels, you have to pit them against other Pokemon in combat. An alternative is to feed them rare candy, an item with the ability to raise their level by a single point. As the name implies, rare candy is hard to come by, and there are only two typically found in "Pearl." By using the Pokemon skill "PickUp," you get a chance of finding rare candy after every battle, leading to a potentially infinite supply.

Instructions

1. Put a Pokemon with the skill "PickUp" in your party. These include Meowth, Aipom, Teddiursa, Phanpy, Zigzagoon, Linoone, Parchisu, Aibipom and Munchlax.

2. Engage in combat with wild Pokemon. Your pPokemon with the "PickUp" skill does not need to be in the actual fight, just within your party. Nevertheless, the higher your Pokemon's level the greater the odds of acquiring a rare candy. Start at level 20, there's a 3-percent chance of getting a rare candy. At 30, there's a 5-percent chance. At 40 and above, there's a 10-percent chance.

3. Continue fighting enemies as long as you want rare candies. The level of the enemy is irrelevant, so if you want to gather candies quickly, go to a low-level area such as Route 201. Wander around in the tall grass to increase the odds of a wild-Pokemon encounter.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have Action Replay, you can use it to get 999 rare candies through cheating. Enter the following code in the replay and then press the "Left-" and "Right-Shoulder" buttons at the same time in a game:
