Vacuuming up debris such as leaves and small particles of dirt from the pool prevents unneeded wear to the filters and the build up of bacteria. You must do it about once a week or after a bad storm which blows dirt and leaves into the pool water and you must first connect the pool vacuum to the pool pump. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Connect the extension pole to the vacuum head by inserting the pole into the end of the head or by screwing it in.
-
2
Connect the skimmer hose to the top of the vacuum head by pushing the hose on.

-
3
Push the vacuum hose into the water so that it fills up with the pool water. This gets air out of the hose.
-
4
Plug the suction hose into the bottom of the skimmer. There is a suction line at the bottom of the skimmer that the suction hose slides over.
-
5
Close the other intakes of the skimmer partially so that there is more suction coming to the skimmer line.
