Write the content necessary for making an eBook. An eBook can be about anything you desire. There are eBooks on all sorts of various information. If you are an expert in a certain area or you simply want to put to use your creative writing abilities, an eBook can be a tool to market and distribute your knowledge and talent.

2
Convert your eBook into a .pdf file. A .pdf file can be read from almost anywhere. You can create your original article in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Access and then convert it into a .pdf file by using Adobe Acrobat or simply create a document in Adobe Acrobat and save is as a pdf file. You could also add your eBook to your blog or website. Many blogs and websites have HTML editors within them. You can write your content in the HTML editor and this will allow you to transfer the code to any other blog or website and add it directly.

Copyright your eBook. This step is extremely important because over the Internet, your content can easily be passed around and to maintain rights and credit for your work, a copyright will be necessary. For maximum distribution of your eBook, there are options to copyright your work, but still allow others to distribute it. If you do not wish to allow others to distribute your eBook, you may send an application to the Library of Congross Copyright Office. As of January 2011, the requirements include a $30 fee, an application to register the eBook for copyright, and a copy of the eBook.
