Directions for the Card Game Called Golf
Like in the game you play with golf clubs, the objective of the card game Golf is to earn the lowest score. The game can be played with two to eight players, but is most commonly played with three or four. You must eliminate high cards from your hand. The trick of this game is that you do not know the identity of most of your cards, as they remain hidden from your view for much of the match.

1
Deal four cards face down to each player, arranged in a square. Place the pile of undealt cards face down in the center of the playing surface and turn over the top card to begin the discard pile.
-
2
Look at one of the two cards nearest to you, taking care not to show it to other players. This is the only card you can see without discarding.
-
-
3
Begin play with the player to the left of the dealer, with turns passing clockwise. Players can either draw a card from the stock pile, pick up the top card on the discard pile or knock to end play.
-
4
Replace one of your cards if you like the card you drew from the stock pile or if you take a card from the discard pile. You cannot look at any of the cards--other than the one you have already seen--before replacing them. Place your new card face down and turn the card you replaced face up in the discard pile.
-
5
Discard the card you drew if you choose not to put it in your hand. Put it face up in the discard pile.
-
6
Knock if you think you have a good hand with low-scoring cards. If you knock on a turn, you do not draw any cards. The other players will each have one more turn before play ends.
-
7
Score each hand at the end of the round. Numerical cards count face value, aces are worth one, jacks and queens count 10 points each, and kings are zero. The player who has the lowest total score after nine or 18 rounds wins the game.
