Texas Hold 'Em is a variation of poker.

Texas Hold 'Em Poker is a multiplayer card game played on the social networking site Facebook. The goal of poker is to win the most amount of chips by having the winning cards during each hand of play. The amount of chips you earn depends on the amount of chips that your opponents bet. Earning a total of 10 million chips may take you a while, but patience is rewarded.

Instructions

    • 1

Look at your two cards on Facebook once they have been dealt and determine the probability that your hand is the best hand at the table. Consult the Odds and Probabilities chart if you are not familiar with Texas Hold 'Em hands.

    • 2

Place your initial bet. If your hand has a high probability of beating your opponents', place a high bet. If your hand has a low probability of beating your opponents', place a low bet or fold. Folding is the act of conceding your hand to avoid the loss of any unnecessary chips. If you are in the spot which requires you to place a small blind or big blind (bets that are required to be made, even before the cards are dealt), the Facebook game will automatically place these bets for you. After your initial bet, the first three cards, otherwise known as "the flop," will be placed on the virtual table.

Determine the probability that your hand is the best hand at the table and respond to your opponents' bets. If one of your opponents places a bet, you must either match or beat their beat in order to stay in the hand. If your hand has a low probability of winning, fold your hand to avoid any unnecessary loss of chips. If no bets are made, you may check your hand, which is the act of taking no action until some other player places a bet. After the checking or betting, the fourth card, known as "the turn," will be placed on the virtual table in the Facebook game.

    • 4

Determine the probability that your hand is the best hand at the table and place your bets. After this round of betting, the last card, known as "the river," will be placed on the table.

    • 5

Place your final bet. If your hand, which includes your initial two cards and all five cards on the table, is one that gives you a high probability of victory, place a high bet. If your hand gives you a low probability of winning, check and then fold to a bet as an opponent may beat your hand and take your chips. If you place a bet that is not matched by an opponent, you win the hand and earn the total amount of chips that has been thrown into the pot. If you place a bet that is matched by an opponent, your cards will be shown and the winner of the hand will be named. If your hand is better than your opponents, you will win the chips.
