How to Customize Your Own Seat Cover With Graphics
With the availability of after-market seat covers, nobody has to settle for boring gray or tan seats inside their car or truck. However, even with all the different colors and styles of seat covers that are available for purchase, you might not be able to find the exact seat cover to match your own interests or style. It is easy enough to customize your own car seat cover with a graphic of your choosing.
Things You'll Need
- Car seat cover
- Color ink-jet printer
- Colorfast ink-jet transfer fabric
- Fusible web, iron-on adhesive
- Piece of scrap fabric

Upload or select an image on your computer that you want to use on your seat cover. You may need to resize or crop the graphic in a photo-editing or image-editing software program before printing.

Print a test page of your image on a piece of plain paper to make sure that the image is the correct size and that the image prints correctly.

Follow the instructions that came with your ink-jet transfer paper fabric to load the fabric into your printer, and print your image on the fabric. Allow the printed fabric to dry.

Turn your printed fabric over so that the image is facing down. Following the instructions on your fusible web package to iron the fusible web to the back of your printed fabric.

Remove the paper backing from the back of the fusible web.

With the graphic facing up place it on your car seat cover. Place a piece of scrap fabric over the graphic then follow the fusible web instructions to iron it onto the seat cover.
