How to Detangle a Child's Play Wig

A child can turn a play wig into a tangled mess in a very short time. Using a normal brush to remove the tangles can cause the hair to fray or even fall out, resulting in a bigger mess. Combing the wig with a wide-toothed comb after each use can save both the wig and some money.

Place the wig on a flat surface.

Run your fingers through the wig, starting at the bottom and working upward.

Separate a small section of hair from the rest of the wig. Using a wide-toothed comb, comb that section of hair with very soft strokes. Start with the ends first, then move upward as you remove the tangles. Repeat this process with a new section of hair until the entire wig has been detangled.
