Instructions

    • 1

Cut a piece of ribbon about 10 inches long. The ribbon can be shorter or longer, depending on how big you want your bow to be. Cut another piece of ribbon about two inches long.

    • 2

Tie a bow in the middle of the ribbon. Cut the ends to the same length as the bow. The ends can be cut straight, on an angle, or with an indented point cut into it, depending how how you would like it to look. Alternately, you could trim the ends so they are hidden behind the bow, and the only thing that shows is the bow.

    • 3

Wrap the two-inch long ribbon around the middle of the bow, overlapping at the backside of the bow and wrapping around a plain hair clip. Glue this in place with the hot glue gun.

    • 4

Glue a small charm to the front, if desired. This could be anything that shows your style such as a skull, heart, flower, Hello Kitty, large jewel, smiley face, small animal or whatever you can think of.

    • 5

Glue the hair bow onto other types of hair clips or barrettes. You could also make small bows and glue them on bobby pins.

    • 6

Cut a large piece of ribbon, approximately three or four feet long and wrap it around your head like a headband. Tie it in a bow on top of your head, or off to one side. Wear this instead of the hair clip.
