How to Make Fall Leaves With Coffee Filters

You can make paper leaves from an ordinary coffee filter.

When the fall season approaches, you can make this transition more memorable for small children by helping them create fall-themed crafts that they can display. For example, kids can decorate coffee filters is a way that will transform them into create beautiful craft leaves that can be taped onto windows, doors or walls. Things You'll Need

• Coffee filters
• Washable markers
• Spray bottle
• Water
• Pencil
• Dried leaves

Instructions

1. Color onto a coffee filter using washable markers. Choose colors that symbolize autumn, such as red, orange, yellow and purple.

2. Spray water onto the coffee filter; this will cause the marker to bleed and make it resemble a watercolor painting. Allow the colored filter to dry completely.

3. Place dried leaves onto the colored filter, and trace around them with a pencil.

4. Cut out the leave tracings, then hang up the colorful coffee filter leaves.
