How to Adjust Rollers on a Patio Slider
Patio slider doors are a convenient addition that allows in sunlight and provides a wide opening to your deck or patio. The patio slider door uses rollers on the bottom of the door to gently glide the door along the track. Over time, the rollers require adjustment to accommodate settling of the door frame as well as normal wear. Adjusting rollers on a patio slider requires finding the adjustment screws for each roller. Open your patio slider door halfway. Bend down and look at the inside bottom rail of the door panel. Find the small plugs covering the adjustment screw for each roller. Some manufacturers place the adjustment screw on the lower edge of the door panel at the end.

Pry the screw cover off the door with a utility knife blade. The utility knife blade fits in the seam without damaging the cap or the paint of the door panel.

Insert a Phillips screwdriver into the adjustment hole and over the adjustment screw head. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to raise the door panel or counterclockwise to lower the door panel.

Adjust the screw on the roller of the opposite side. Open and close your patio slider to ensure it does not bind and moves freely up and down the door track.

Press the caps over the adjustment screw holes with your thumb until they are flush with the door surface.
