How to Double Diaper With Cloth Diapers
Cloth diapers are more environmentally friendly than disposable diapers and more economical in the long run. Today's cloth diapers are easier to use and fit better than in the past. However, because they are not as absorbent as disposable diapers, it may be necessary to use two diapers, or double diaper, at bedtime. This is particularly true as the child grows older, drinks more fluids and sleeps for longer periods between diaper changes.

Tips & Warnings
If you have a boy, he will require more absorbency in the front of the diaper. To achieve this, you can fold the second diaper -- already folded into thirds or fourths -- in half again and place it toward the front of the first diaper.
Double diapering only will help control leaks attributable to heavy wetting and not poor-fitting diapers. If you continue to experience leaks, make sure the cloth diapers fit your baby well.
