How to Upload Files to CaptiveWorks 650S

You need to keep your FTA satellite receiver up-to-date.

CaptiveWorks 650S is a satellite receiver used in conjunction with free-to-air satellite systems. Similar to other FTA satellite receivers, you do need to upload FTA .bin files directly to the CaptiveWorks 650S. This ensures you receive the latest satellite programming and signals from the connected satellite dish. If you don't upload the files to your receiver you may either miss out on some of the provided stations, or the receiver may black out everything all together.

Things You'll Need

• USB flash drive

Instructions

1. Open an Internet browser and navigate to the CaptiveWorks website.

2. Choose "Downloads" in the download link, then click the "Download Here" option for the "650S" firmware download. This downloads the files to your computer.

3. Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on the computer. Click "Start," "Computer" and double-click the removable device icon.

4. Click-and-drag the downloaded firmware into the open window. Once complete, remove the flash drive from the computer and plug it into the USB port on the CaptiveWorks 650S. Momentarily the new files begin to upload directly onto the satellite receiver.
