Instructions

    • 1

Wash the fabric in the hottest water possible. This removes any sizing or residual chemicals left by the manufacturer.

    • 2

Fold over the fabric so that it is doubled. Cut the fabric into 2 inch by 3 inch squares. The thin fabric make it easy to cut through two layers of fabric.

    • 3

Stitch through two layers of the fabric around three sides of the bag starting and ending at a three-inch side. Leave one two-inch side open.

    • 4

Thread a sewing needle with the button thread. Make a simple running stitch through one thickness of the fabric all the way around the open two-inch side. Leave a three-inch tail on both ends of the thread.

    • 5

Pour a teaspoon of your favorite tea or tea blend into the bag. Pull the threads, gathering the bag closed. Tie the two threads in a double knot.
