You can easily make your own odor eliminator at home that will remove the smell instead of simply covering it up. Things You'll Need

  • Spray bottle
  • Water
  • 3 tbsp. baking soda
  • Paper towels
  • Vacuum

Instructions

      Fill a spray bottle with clean, filtered water.

      Add 3 tbsp. of baking soda to the spray bottle. Screw on the lid and spray nozzle and shake the bottle to incorporate the baking soda into the water.

      Spray the baking soda solution on the fabric with the offensive odor and leave it for 15 minutes.

      Wash the piece of fabric in the washer as usual, if it is clothing. For upholstery, blot the excess water up with a paper towel and let it air dry, then vacuum up any remaining baking soda with a vacuum hose attachment.
