Research your hotel options. Walt Disney World offers guests several different hotel categories, from the basic value resorts to the luxurious deluxe resorts. Pricing of each resort varies by the amenities offered. Each resort is themed differently and offers its own personality. Before booking your room, determine which hotel suits your family by looking at information online, requesting a travel DVD from Disney or by talking to family and friends who have previously visited Disney World about their hotel choice.

Select your dates. Determine when you wish to book your hotel room. Certain times of year, such as summer vacation and holidays, including Christmas and Thanksgiving are busy times of year at Walt Disney World, so room costs are typically higher, and you may want to book your room quickly to ensure availability at your selected hotel.

Look for any special deals or discounts. Walt Disney World occasionally offers hotel room discounts or special offers when you book your room, park tickets and dining at the same time. These offers are listed on Disney's website and must be requested when making your reservation by phone. When booking online, you must complete your reservation through the link provided on the special offers page.

Begin your booking. You may book your hotel online through Walt Disney World's accommodations or special offers page on its website, or by calling 407-939-7829. If you decide to book through the website for a standard rate room, select "Book your vacation" at the top of the page. If you are using a special offer, select your special offer and then click the "check availability now" button. If you decide to call, you will be connected to an operator. You must then provide information regarding the dates of your stay and the number of people in your party and the hotel that you want to stay at.

Make accommodation selections. Once you have made your request, you may decide if you want a standard room or an upgraded room at your resort. You are also given the option to add park tickets or a dining plan option to your room at this point in your booking.

Provide your personal information. Once you have made all accommodation decisions, you are given the chance to review your reservation before completing your booking. If you are booking your room online, you may register for an account with Disney, or you may choose to complete your reservation as a website guest, by choosing to skip the registration. You must provide your name, address, the names of the people you are traveling with, as well as a credit card number. Depending on when and how long your stay is, you may be charged a portion of your room fee at the time you book your room. Once you have booked your room, a reservation number will be provided and an e-mail or written confirmation letter should be sent to you.
