How to Calibrate a Digital Gas Oven

Despite your preciseness in following the time and temperature settings prescribed by a recipe, food may consistently come out of your digital oven tasting like it is undercooked or overcooked. This is an indication that you may need to calibrate the oven. Calibrating an oven allows you to change the appliance's temperature settings to ensure that the temperature you set on the control panel and the temperature the oven cooks are the same.

Instructions

1. Push and hold the "Bake" button on the front panel for six seconds.

2. Enter the number of degrees you want to increase or decrease the temperature by pressing the numbers on the front panel's keypad. The highest number you can enter is 35.

3. Press the "Flex Clean" button on the control panel to decrease the oven temperature. If you want to increase the oven temperature, ignore this step.

4. Push "Start." The oven is now calibrated to its new settings.
