How to Find Stations That Play All Christmas Music

The Christmas season can definitely bring back memories of stress, packed stores and crowded roadways, but it's also a very peaceful and loving time for many. While most radio stations do not play Christmas music all year, you can find some that begin switching their format to all Christmas as early as a month before the holiday. Your selection of stations that feature all Christmas music depends on your location and the kind of radio available for your listening.

  • Look at each local radio station's website after Halloween and Thanksgiving. Although most radio stations begin playing some Christmas music after Thanksgiving, some go further and switch their format to entirely Christmas music after the Thanksgiving holiday. Certain radio stations may even start after Halloween.

  • Find a holiday music channel on your satellite radio, if you have one. Satellite holiday radio stations aren't available year around, but, like regular AM/FM radio, satellite radio begins broadcasting Christmas music shortly before or after Thanksgiving.

  • Visit online radio stations to listen to Christmas music year around. Online radio stations work by taking a song or genre you entered and playing songs similar to that specific song or genre. Some stations may request that you sign up for an account. Type "Christmas" or "Christmas music" when prompted for a song or genre.
