How to Calibrate a GE Oven

In theory, your GE oven should be programmed to work properly without you needing to make many -- if any -- adjustments to the oven's settings. However, if it becomes obvious that your cooking is suffering because the oven's temperature setting is not accurate, you may want to calibrate the oven. Calibrating your GE oven allows you to make sure that the cooking temperature you enter into the stove's front panel is the same temperature the stove will reach inside. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Broil" and "Bake" pads simultaneously until "SF" appears in the display.

    • 2

Press the "Bake" pad. A two-digit number will appear in the display.

    • 3

Touch "Bake" again if you want to decrease the oven temperature. If you want to increase the oven temperature, skip this step.

    • 4

Press the number pads to change the temperature. For example, if you want to increase the temperature 15 degrees, press "1" and "5." You cannot adjust the oven temperature more than 35 degrees from its current setting.
