      Remove all power cords and audio or video cables from the Xbox. Press the release tab in front of the hard drive compartment. Remove the hard drive.

      Take the Xbox console and place it next to the computer. Connect the Xbox to a television set with the video cable. Connect a power connector from the computer's drive bay to the power connector port of the Xbox hard drive. Attach the IDE cable between the Xbox and the Xbox hard drive.

      Turn the computer, TV and Xbox on. The Xbox will transmit the password to the hard drive to unlock it. You have now unlocked the Xbox.

      Carefully pull out the IDE cable from the Xbox hard drive when the Xbox's "Dashboard" appears on the television.

      Turn off the Xbox and television.

      Plug the computer's IDE cable into the connector on the Xbox hard drive. Press any key on the computer so that it continues to boot up.
