How to Find the Rules for the Pinochle Card Game
Pinochle is a card game that uses a deck of 48 cards, with two duplicate cards of each rank in the four suits. The name pinochle actually refers to a group of games invented in the mid-19th century, according to the book "Hoyle's Rules of Games." Players draw cards from a shuffled deck, with different card combinations giving different point values. The winner is the first to reach a designated number of points, such as 1,000. When you get together with a group of players, you will want to agree on what variation of pinochle you'll play, such as single-deck, double-deck or three-player. After you obtain the rules for pinochle, your group will have a common reference. You can find the rules for pinochle in a card games book or on website devoted to card games.
