"Magic marker" generally refers to many kinds of markers, not just the brand name. Magic markers, both washable and permanent, can temporarily "stain" the skin. Although such marks are nontoxic and should not cause excessive worry, they may be embarrassing in certain situations. While marks from washable markers and nonpermanent markers are easily removed, permanent markers can be more difficult to remove from the skin. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Soap
  • Warm water
  • Face or body scrub
  • Washcloth or loofah
  • Baby oil
  • Hairspray
  • Cotton balls or tissues

Instructions

      Rub your skin with your fingers to loosen the ink.

      Gently wash your skin with soap and warm water. This should be sufficient to remove most marks.

      Use a gritty face or body scrub on the affected skin.

      Use a soapy loofah or washcloth and scrub your skin under warm water.

      Rub a small amount of baby oil on the stain with a cotton ball or tissue. Wipe off the oil and wash the area with soap and water.

      Lightly spray the affected area with hairspray. Wipe your skin with a tissue and wash the area under warm water.
