How to Make Your Own Craft Borders
Creating craft borders can be done for a wall, scrapbook or just for decorative paper. Border materials are easy to work with and produce attractive, professional-looking projects. Try obtaining a border design book or design stencils to use when painting a custom border. Border colors can be coordinated with walls or other items in a room.

Creating Borders for the Wall
-
1
Measure the wall on which the border will be placed.
-
2
Cut the border pieces to fit the entire wall including the corners.
-
-
3
Position the border pieces (including the corners) onto a work table with newsprint underneath.
-
4
Decorate the entire border, using stencils and paints. Choose designs that match or accent colors in the room in which the border will appear. Also be careful to align the corner designs with those on the straight edge of the border.
-
5
Apply fixative to the finished border and let dry naturally. Peel off the backing paper from the borders to reveal the adhesive. Position a straight edge border piece onto the wall first, followed by the corner, then the next straight edge piece, and so on.
