How to Make a Fake Rock As Seen on Television by Party Planner

- Foam
- Chisel
- Chicken wire
- Industrial strength stapler
- Wheelbarrow
- Concrete
- Sand
- Shovel
- Point trowel
- Sponge

Build a form for your fake rock by purchasing a large block of foam and chipping it into a desired shape with a chisel.

Cover the foam form with chicken wire. Use industrial strength staples to secure the chicken wire to the foam.

Mix one part concrete powder with three parts sand in a wheelbarrow. Pour water into the wheelbarrow until the mixture achieves the consistency of thick paste. Use a shovel to stir the mixture until both the concrete and the sand are thoroughly assimilated into the water.

Shovel small amounts of concrete onto the foam form with a point trowel. Sculpt it into a desired shape.

Texture the concrete with a sponge to emulate the weathered appearance of a rock.

Cure the concrete for one month in a shaded, outdoor area. After one month, wash the concrete and spray paint if desired.
