How to Make a Craft Moose
A craft moose highlights the robust features seen on animals in the wild. Teach the children a lesson about these animals and their habitat in the wild before making your moose craft. This can encourage excitement about making a paper moose. Show the kids pictures of a real moose so that they can draw inspiration and get ideas from the photo. These animals have large distinctive, odd features that make them stand out in nature. Moose antlers are wide and often fuzzy and a moose has a very large nose.

1
Wrap a sheet of brown construction paper around your toilet paper roll. Use scissors to cut off excess paper. The brown paper is slightly darker than the brown toilet paper roll.
-
2
Draw a moose head on brown construction paper and use a black marker to make the eyes, nostrils, mouth and other features. Use a red marker to draw a tongue if you decide to make a moose with it's mouth open. A moose has a rounded head and a long nose that extends outward. Look at moose pictures to give you a good idea of the shapes you need to draw. Cut out the moose head shape.

Draw moose antlers on lighter brown or beige construction paper. Glue the anthers to the back of the animal's head. Glue the moose head on the top portion of the toilet paper roll.

4
Draw four moose legs on light brown construction paper and draw hooves on white paper. Cut out the legs and glue the white hooves on the bottom of each leg.
-
5
Glue the top section of the legs on the back side of the toilet paper so that they wrap around the roll. Two legs are on the right side and two legs are on the left side.
