Keyless entry allows you to control your Ford's door locks from a distance.

Ford vehicles have one of the simplest keyless entry programing methods of all vehicles on the market and the method is universal for all Ford models. Installing the keyless entry system to your vehicle gives you the power to control your door locks and trunk from a distance. This especially comes in handy during bad weather or whenever you're in a hurry.

Instructions

      Get inside the car, put the key in the ignition cylinder and turn the key from the "Off" to the "On" position eight times within 10 seconds. The doors lock and unlock on their own to indicate the system has entered "Programming Mode."

      Press any button on the keyless remote. You must do this within 20 seconds of the system entering the programming mode. The doors lock and unlock again to indicate the remote has been successfully programmed to the system.

      Remove the key from the ignition and exit the vehicle. The doors lock and unlock on their own to indicate the end of "Programming Mode." Exiting the programming mode means the car is no longer receptive to the remote's programming signals. Try out the remote to make sure it works correctly. If the remote does not work, start over from the beginning of the programming process.
